Background
Sachiko Inoue, was born in Yokohama, Japan. She was born deaf. At the age of 28, she became a convert. In 2001, she married her non-member husband, who is also deaf. They have two hearing children, a daughter and a son (twins). In 2010, Sachiko almost died from a serious illness, which led to her husband’s baptism. Her husband is an excellent priesthood holder who supports her a lot. They both serve in the Sign Language and Subtitling Committee under the Asia North Area Presidency to improve information accessibility for deaf church members in Japan.
