Lynell Smith serves as the Primary President in the Riverside, California ASL Branch. She is a SODA and wife of James Smith, Branch President of the Riverside branch. She is the mother of 4 wonderful children, three of whom are deaf. She is an educator of the deaf with 19 years of experience. In the church, she has served as Young Women’s President, Primary President twice, and in the Relief Society presidency. She has served in 4 different ASL units. She also spent a year in a small deaf group in a hearing unit. During COVID, she launched an ASL Come Follow Me page where she posted a weekly video discussing principles from the lessons. In her spare time, Lynell enjoys being outdoors. She loves hiking, camping, running, biking, and enjoying the beach. She loves to read, do crafts with her kids and teach!
