Kori started learning ASL when she was 15. She lived across the street from Pat and Rodney Walker. She became involved in the Salt Lake Valley first ward at the same time. She often attended both her hearing ward and the Deaf ward. She became involved in the larger Deaf community  and has been a fixture ever since.  

Kori Married her best friend March 25th 2003. In November of that year 2003,  Kori contracted meningitis. This caused Kori to lose a significant amount of hearing. Luckily, her husband of 8 months had served a deaf program mission.  Kori and her husband were able to communicate without any problems. 22 years later, Kori and Mason are the proud parents of 2 children. Klara (19) Harald(21) . Apart from her love of scripture journaling, Kori loves Scandinavian knitting, antique hunting, historical hand sewing, photo restoration and document archiving. 

Kori has served in the Young Women’s presidency, primary, and family history consultant. She and Mason hope to serve a mission working in the church archive system.
