In 2014, Kei graduated from Brigham Young University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a specialized focus on Animation. This unique blend of artistry and technical expertise empowers him to bring a fresh perspective to his work.
Originally from the vibrant city of Tokyo, Japan, Kei embarked on a life-changing journey to the United States, enabling him to pursue his education as a Deaf student in an inclusive and fully accessible environment.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Kei has developed a profound love for American cuisine. From savoring mouthwatering Shrimp Gumbo and indulging in delectable Cornbread, to relishing Sloppy Joes and reveling in the flavors of Texas BBQ, his palate is a true testament to his adventurous spirit.
Kei’s personal life is equally enriching. He is happily married to a native Texan and finds immense joy in being a devoted father to three wonderfully spirited children, who constantly inspire him to embrace the wonders of parenthood.
Having served as a Primary teacher in the Provo ward in Utah and a Sunday school teacher at the Plano ward in Texas, Kei has cultivated a deep understanding of the significance of living and practicing gospel principles within the sanctity of the home. This experience has instilled in him an unwavering commitment to sharing his faith and uplifting others.
In his exciting new calling, Kei is thrilled to contribute his exceptional skills to God’s kingdom by developing a captivating website for FSDY and the Deaf Symposium. Through this endeavor, he aims to empower the Deaf community and foster greater inclusivity within the realm of faith.
