Background
Richard M. Sutton is currently a senior director of worldwide operations in the Temple Department for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He began working for the Church in 2007 to help develop the sign language translation program. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication with a focus on Public Relations from the University of Utah in 2005. He is a proud CODA and was raised by his parents, Rob and Kathy Sutton, in Torrance, CA. He now lives in West Jordan, UT with his wife Shelly and they are raising their four children: Josh (16), Ella (14), Ava (10), and Caleb (7) and two dogs: Duke and Ruby. Rich served a mission for the Church in the Philippines Tacloban Mission speaking Cebuano, Waray-Waray, and Tagalog (and was pleasantly surprised to find out Deaf Filipinos use ASL).
